Title: "Tamias Striatus". This handsome little chipmunk is seen in his natural habitat. The art was inspired by the fact that the chipmunk's natural habits of gathering food helps the environment by facilitating seed dispersal. Little garden pests or saintly little creatures? You decide.
This saintly fellow was a personal piece of mine from an ongoing series that explores a secret world in nature – one in which the littlest creatures (who are normally overlooked) are often the most important. The ornately painted frames and rich color are meant to take the viewer's attention in for a second look.
This print measures 12"x18", comes sealed in a plastic sleeve and is mailed in a sturdy mailer envelope.
